Some TV-commentary
So, I'm up to date with Smallville and Supernatural now. Might as well say few things.

Smallville 7.02: Kara

- Although the actress of Kara didn't click with me 100 %, I'm overall pleased with her first episode. I only hope they're not going to do anything stupid with her and Lex.

- I don't care what anybody else in fandom thinks, I love Lois and I'm so glad she's being shoved towards her destiny. I did feel bad for Chloe, but after seeing some rabid fans throw unreasonable hissyfits over how unfairly she was treated, I quickly lost my sympathy. Her attitude to Lois was really patronizing, and if she can't show some support to Lois even though Lois stood up for her.. sorry, doesn't sound like a likable character for me. Also, I really hope Smallville is going to do something smarter than turning Lois and Chloe to petty rivals.

- Continuing with the unpopular opinions, I also love Lana nowadays and her scene with Lex in this episode was full of awesome. The idea of Lex cloning Lana was pretty creepy (in sense that I would have loved to see more of it), but I loved, loved, loved how Lana used the clone for her own purposes and how cleverly she planned her escape and lets not lose this Lana, please? But I also loved Lex's apology, as insincere as it might have been, and I appreciated it as a proper wrap-up for their twisted little relationship. I guess it's back to Clark/Lana and onward with Lex's new obsession.

- Unlike what seems to be most of fandom, I actually liked Daily Planet's new editor. I thought it was pretty clear that he was more interested in Lois's potential than in her tits, but hey, when has that stopped the fandom from hating? I hope we'll see more of him.

- As far as random scenes go, I liked the scene between Chloe and Lex and Chloe's obvious loyalty to Lana. As much as I worry about future development of Lois/Chloe, Smallville has usually done a decent job at portraying female friendships, so I really appreciated this.

So far this season hasn't sucked me in as well as seasons five and six did, but things look good so far, and I hope it will only get better.

Supernatural, 3.01: The Magnificent Seven

Well, I don't have much to say about Supernatural except "Yay, my show is back!", but after seeing Women's Work (recced here), there are certain things that I just can't ignore anymore and a woman getting her face bashed against the car window in loving detail is one of those things. I really hope the new female characters will have more to do than be victims.
